The Sennen Surf Club is a fully volunteer run community club and our success is fully dependant on our wonderful team of volunteers.
There are plenty of ways in which you can volunteer to help with the club:
- become a groms club volunteer
we always need extra people to help keep the groms safe in the water on a Sunday morning - helping with end of session tidy-up
at the end of every session the boards need to be re-stacked, the clubhouse swept out and the rash vests taken home to be rinsed & dried ready for the following week - join our team of lifeguards or surf coaches
we run bi-annual winter lifeguard training courses, having trained lifeguards is vital to the continued running of the club! - join our management team
there are various roles available and always room for new people to help on the committee - running one-off events
extra volunteers to help run things like end of season BBQs is always appreciated - fundraising
we currently have a major clubhouse fundraising project ongoing, and help would be much appreciated. Plus there are often smaller projects like new lifesaving equipment - and many more! Many hands make light work 🙂
